Open Gardens and Plant Sale
June 16th 10 am - 2 pm
Two Open Gardens
Gary and Debi Richards (Frog Holler Farm)
Come see our 44 year adventure from forest to farm. There’s a berry patch, orchard and new kitchen garden, a pretty good size rose garden, a huge lawn and a water feature that we designed and built. You are welcome to bring a bag lunch for picnicking under the maple trees. We will have light snacks and beverages for your enjoyment.
Please plan to shop! We have lots of plants left over from the sale that we would REALLY like to move out before the heat of summer. You are welcome to bring a friend or two to see the garden and buy some plants! Checks only please. All proceeds go to Vashon-Maury Island Garden Club.
List of Plants can take 30 sec to download.
If you have trouble viewing the List of Plants, email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

While it wasn’t the sunny acreage on the north end of the island we were looking for, we fell in love with the woods and huckleberry underbrush on our 2.5 acre property from the moment we saw it. We’d moved just before Halloween 2019, and when the pandemic hit in February we decided to use our free time and money we’d otherwise spend traveling or going out, on our garden. It had great bones, and it was obvious it had been loved and well cared for, then endured a period of neglect that allowed salal to overgrow artfully designed components like landscaping and even a cement pond we uncovered as we began to care for the property. We’re thrilled to invite you to visit and see our fledgling garden and share our vision of its future with our fellow gardeners.

2019 Award Winner - Open Garden
Pam and Earl Godt
26907 94th SW on Maury Island
Godt’s Garden ~ Pam and Earl Godt
Being new garden enthusiast, this newly certified Wildlife Habitat garden showcases Pam and Earl’s enthusiasm and adventurous style. Using native plantings and natural woodland borders, the garden splashes with color featuring rhododendrons and azaleas.
They have a fun, outgoing approach to the garden which includes a love for watching the deer.
Their fascination for viewing the deer does create some challenges but their unique approach favors 'deer resistant' varieties. The vegetable, fruit, and berry garden is the new addition - overflowing with bounty throughout the season. The vegetable and fruit areas are fenced and protected from their favorite, visiting beauties in nature - the deer.
