Podophyllum 'Spotty Dotty' has been the holy grail of many shade gardeners. Each 1.5' tall, fuzzy, red stalk of Podophyllum 'Spotty Dotty' is topped with two 18" wide tropical looking leaves, heavily mottled with measles-like splotches that emerge purple and age to dark green...a surreal statement in the woodland garden. Dangling just below the leaves starting in late April are 8-10 incredible bright red flowers, resembling shredded mop heads. In the woodland garden, moist, organically rich soils produce the best plants.
